Made it past Masterhand's pistol-y friends once again and here's my thoughts:

I think you touched up on some of the sound effects, those sounded better. You might still want to autospawn the player at the beginning, the screen layout made me think I was supposed to click the buttons.

I liked the new enemy designs, the first stage final boss felt a little confusing at first because I didn't realize it was in the background. Also, touching its machine gun seemed to hurt me even when it was shooting in the background .

One thing that was a little different than last time was that enemies didn't stay staggered once I had emptied their blue bars. Even when I tried to juggle them, they immediately refilled their blue bar. I liked the previous staggering period better.

Gameplay is still as fun as ever, looking forward to what other bosses you come up with.


Well what happens is when you get them into a stun state (i.e. deplete their shields (blue bar) completely), their shield starts regenerating and the stun period either ends when they are on the ground for too long or their shield completely regenerates. Additionally, right now not autospawning the player actually saves on performance as opposed to having the player autospawn, although I eventually intend to implement a more practical fix in the next build. Glad you still enjoyed the game, though.

Had some trouble understanding how to spawn/load the first level, and was trying to use keyboard input even though I had a controller plugged in, which caused some weirdness. Switched to just controller for playtesting. It's a bit busy at times and some of the bosses have quite a bit of health,  but the movement feels excellent and the attacks feel quick and responsive! Can't wait to see what this looks like as you polish up the visual elements. Nice work! 


Glad you enjoyed the feel of it. I actually just updated the game so that there are checkpoints before the bosses along with after them, and additional health is accounted for at checkpoints, so hopefully it'll make the game feel less punishing.

I'm sorry, is the 2nd level too hard?

Maybe I just need some more practice but I had quite a lot of trouble with the big helicopter boss, he was way harder than the previous ones.

The wild west level didn't seem too hard, the vultures were annoying but I just felt a bit burned out by the helicopter and felt I played enough for the video. I actually really enjoyed it, sorry for not playing through all of it.
