Just Incredible

A fantastic game with hours of fun to be had... Until you reach the point where you've seen it all. The game in it's current state has a lot of content, but it's also unfinished and doesn't even have a functional saving feature. As for the game's future, it's up in the air. The game hasn't been updates since October 2020, and the developer has been radio silent on all platforms, even his own discord server, since January, although I heard someone saw him say words on discord in April, which was 4 months ago by the time I'm writing this. He is just one guy making this game and supposedly he is in the middle of moving and such, but we were told this almost a year ago by now, and even if he's just one guy the lack of any sort of communication is ridiculous. His discord server is a shell of it's former self because people have abandoned hope for this game, and the mods have no real way to calm down the crowd considering the fact that, to my knowledge, not even they know where the developer went. So until something happens, which is looking less and less likely as time goes on, I can't recommend this game. It's a fun game, yes even in it's current state, but it's missing a chunk of content and the current amount will only last you a little while. Also developers who don't even communicate to their people don't deserve money. 

Genuinely feels like a cursed game you'd find on an old computer at the back of a dusty library.

Very fun with a lot of references to horror media - a little confusing and bewildering in terms of UI and combat mechanics but that might be the point.

For an unfinished game (which might even never be finished, since the dev seems to have vanished six months ago), it already has in place most of the elements it needs to deliver a very enjoyable experience. 

And what kind of experience is it? Well, it's kinda like Arkham Horror, only in Japan, and played on an old-ass computer from the early 80s, and mixing Lovecraft with Junji Ito. You have characters to select, randomized mysteries to investigate, things to unlock... There's even an alternate timeline, which adds some alternate random encounters and endings for some mysteries!

So yeah, it's not finished yet, and God knows when (or if) it will be; it doesn't even have a save function right now. And yet, I've already clocked about 13 hours of play, and I'm more than willing to clock quite a few more. And if retro Japanese cosmic horror sounds like your thing, you should, too!

(Also, there are mods already. I haven't tried them yet, though, so I can't vouch for their quality)
