  • While the game is obviously incomplete and has the associated flaws (typos, unbalanced salary/repair cooldowns, ships spawning in inaccessible locations, etc.) I really like both the way it looks/sounds, and the approach it has taken to emulating pirate gameplay. I am particularly impressed by the ship combat remaining on the same screen as the rest of the game, as opposed to being modal, like in the other pirate-themed entries this year. I am not sure where plastic figures outside of the pink hue of everything, but it has every sign of blooming into an impressive project down the line!

I keep thinking I'm getting the hang of it, until I get a 50+ turn cooldown on repairing my ship and it's all over.
