Please, we need a key to skip the intro when you die and start over.
On this subject there is a need for a checkpoint system, perhaps related to gates
Anyway, it's really a weird, creepy graphics (in a positive sense I mean).

There are some werid bugs, if you press space twice the character performs a jump two times. Is this intended?
Also I can't figure out one thing: what good is a viewfinder if I can't aim? The ball always goes in front of me.

The overall result is impressive given the resrtictive time limit! Also, the art is amazing! Sometimes the controls feel whacky, they could improve :)

Awesome art and way of telling an interesting story!

The main menu music was really loud compared to the normal BGM for me on headphones. Also, dying feels really punishing, having to go through everything again. I think you mentioned on stream, that you changed it so that one can only throw the balls horizontally, to make it more challenging, but I think allowing for aiming with the mouse would have made it more fun, or fair (to me).

The art and style of the sidescrolling level are amazing, I really like the parallax scrolling in the back and the sprites in the foreground. Also, the technique used in the opening, with a static background and animated characters, looks really good.

Thank you so much. Yeah it definitely could go through some more play testing to make it easier to play. We surely will update it later with an aiming system and skippable cutscene.

I really like the art, the combination of 2D background with the 3D trees and character looks great. The resolution of the Background could be a bit better, but I understand the problem of creating the art maybe a bit to small^^

I died a few times and therefore I would like to have the possibilty to skip the intro ;P

Developer

haha definitely will be added.

The character movement feels already very smooth, i also like the opening of the door animation.

Developer

haha, thank you.

I like the art and animations you created here. Intriguing story also. The gameplay gets a bit frustrating however, because the jump button does not always trigger as expected, and because you need to start over from the intro when you die (which apparently cannot be skipped?). Still has lots of potential, it just needs more polish (then again, which GameJam game, doesn't ;)).

Developer

Thank you very much. We originally had ideas for checkpoints and skippable intros, but we didn't have enough time so had to cut some of the features short to reach a playable state before the deadline. We definitely will polish it more in future so maybe stay tuned in? :)
