  • Overall the character looks good!

I think it would definitely help to have some more detail in the highpoly as it feels a little simplistic. The highpoly really dictates a lot in "hand painted" stuff. I dont necessarily mean add more stuff to the model, I mean add more folds, creases, hemming/stitching and i'd definitely sculpt in those wrappings. With hand painted textures, you use the information from your bakes as masks and overlays to help you create the textures.

I think the character has come together well, with a little more time spent on the highpoly and textures it would be a strong piece.

  • Submission Title:                                 Druid

A lot of appropriate research was undertaken to inform the design of the character. Some of this shows through in the final result via the colour choices and detailing of the druid character.

The Zbrush workflow is sound and got a good result. Even being stylised the final sculpt could have gone further to better define the folds in the clothing and other fine details such as the leg wraps. The reference gathered has many visual interesting materials / elements that could have been better explored during this sculpting stage.

UV layouts were well packed. The textures were all 2k but this throws off the texel density being consistent it would be possible to have areas of the model that cover smaller surface areas such as the hair to be set to 1024.

It would be good to see greater contrast and variation in roughness values to define the variety of material types.

The end result looks good but is let down by the lack of smaller detailing across the model. The large shapes / forms are present design wise for a good macro read. The addition of smaller / medium details such as clothing folds and material details would really benefit the model.
