Gameplay Instructions
Best used with Controller but Keyboard only works too.

Look for buttons that open doors. Create time portals to activate the buttons, wait a few seconds then activate the ability again to go back in time. Watch your former self press the button allowing you to pass through.

Use this ability to go through the puzzles. Be careful not to be seen by a former past self or a Paradox will occur spawning a Paradoxia.

-----------------------------------

Polchinski's Paradox is a Puzzle Platformer inspired by the Paradox itself:

" A ball is fired into a wormhole at an angle such that, if it continues along that path, it will exit the wormhole in the past at just the right angle to collide with its earlier self, thereby knocking it off course and preventing it from entering the wormhole in the first place."

In this game, you can create portals from which you can go back in time to that very point. You use this ability to activate doors which then, when you return in time, a copy of yourself activates. Allowing you to pass through.
This going back to the future, affects the environment negatively, speeding its aging process and make it decay. On top of that, you can't affect your former self as that would disrupt the timeline and create a Paradox - You must avoid being in it's eyesight at any cost! Otherwise, a rip in space time will occur and a Paradoxia will show up attempting to consume you.

Should this happen, run away for a few seconds and it will dissapear. As the world collapses, your copies could fall in the wholes too causing Paradoxes too. Try to anticipate where a tile is falling to avoid this from happening!
The goal is to go through the levels as quickly as possible, avoiding the obstacles and the world from collapsing completely and without creating any more disruptions.
Puzzle mode is custom designed maps. Only 4 this time as I didn't have time for more.
Arena mode is a never ending mode where you get more buttons and bigger tiles every new level.
I hope to update this further as I want to explore this concept with more mechanics!

Hope you have as much fun as I did developing this.

What platform is your game built for?
