Hey, how does the rating system work on itch.io? :)

I've noticed on submission pages that some games have a label saying "Rated by 1 person so far." However, I can't see the actual rating, and I'm unable to give a rating myself. Why is that?

Also, I've noticed that there are comments on some games, but the number of comments doesn't seem to be related to the rating. Can you explain how these two aspects are connected?

Lastly, I've seen a number like (+1) in the people comment header. What does that number represent?

I appreciate your help in clarifying these points!

The judges are the only ones who can rate games. Anyone can leave comments. There are arrows next to the comment to "like" the comment. That's what the +1 means.
