In order to win the gamejam you must creatively use our tutorial to match the theme of the game jam.  The theme will be announced when the game jam starts.

The Tutorial: Save Transform or brightness setting.  During game jams there's always a focus on the fun side of game dev and not the technical need for a complete game.  Let's change that!  You do not need to be creative with the use of the tutorial.  One of the two just need to be in your game.

What are the rules?

- Your game must utilize our specified tutorial.

- Your game must be in line with the theme of the game jam, which will be revealed at the beginning of the jam.

- Only Unity Game Engine.  Sorry but in order to utilize our tutorial you'll have to use Unity.

- Keep it appropriate.  Entries with Nudity, Graphic violence, satanic themes, (blood and violence is fine but think COD zombies, NOT Mortal Kombat), Strong language (cursing), hate speech (racism, sexism, etc.) , and other inappropriate elements will be disqualified.  A good rule of thumb is to aim for a "T" for teen rating and bellow.

- 3rd Party Assets are allowed. (You do not need to use the assets used in the tutorial, just what was taught in the tutorial.)

- Be creative!

Your game will be voted on...

- Use of the tutorial

- Use of the theme

-  Level Design

- Sound Design

- Visuals

- AmbitionC

- Clean ( 5 stars = little to no bugs, 1 star = almost unplayable/unplayable)

The primary focus of the game jam is the tutorial and implementing it so some of the normal categories aren't here.

PS:  We'd love to know what you think or suggestions you have for improvements for future game jams.  If you'd like to leave feedback you can send an email to JTAGamesinfo@gmail.com title the subject  "August_2022_100DollarGameJam"  If you title it anything else we probably won't read it.  If you have questions about the tutorial use the comment section on YouTube as that's where we try to answer as many questions as possible.
