It's a neat concept with plenty of room for expansion. One idea could be a survival game where you have to decide where to use your energy daily, specifically which resources to gather or things to build.
Great job!
An interesting lil resource maximization game, I actually found myself wanting to beat it and felt p smart after doing so. A very simple concept but a p fun time! I think if you intend to continue optimizing and updating this game, I'd recommend removing the ability to waste a tile on top of another tile (IE i already have a tile below me but I press space twice which wastes a tile without me moving forward). I think it'd be a relatively straightforward fix to implement
Well, when I first implemented the road tile, I was like should I make every error of the player count ( misplaced, re-place the road, and sometime the character will ignore the direction change input ) because I'm planning to add a timer when the jam ended or should I make it as straightforward and relaxing so I just leave it that way to see how the player will react to it :P.
I found the option!
I unfortunately have the same error.
"libgcc_s_seh-1.dll was not found"
"libstdc++-6.dll was not found"
Hopefully it is an easy fix, but I'm not sure.
Yeah, sorry about that, I was missing a DDL and a few compiler flags so it did work on my pc but not on the others. Hope you will criticise the hell out of my game :'D.
Well it seems to work now! I like the options menu, very funny. One problem is I can't tell which direction I am facing before I lay down a road tile. Not a huge deal I just double tap the direction I want before placing it down. Still cool though!
Yeah, the tileset I have does not show direction that properly but well, I'm planning to add a timer and a time pressure whlie making all the error count ( misplace, misuse, re-place ) and the ability to sometime ignore the input from the player ( i don't know should I add it or not ) :D.
Couldn't start the project after installing all missing DLLs :/
it should work out of the box without the need to install any DDLs, can you describe what ddls it want when you first start up the project. (I'm blind about how DDLs work or I just missing somethings).
I don't recall to be honest but it's not an issue from you imo. DLLs are code libraries that are system installed, we can have missing ones sometimes it's ok. I'll try again later today.
ok, thanks for the headup. I did forgot some compiler flags so it wan't able to run properly on other devices. I hope this will works for now.
