I made a top ten video of the games from this jam. (Spoiler alert, this game is in it)
If you like the video, please feel free to share it :)
Check it out!
No shock, I agree with everyone else. Knocked it out of the park. Great Job
Game feels incredible. Just like a Sonic game, I would say. Nice work on the controls.
Wow! Great Game! How you implemented the spin mechanic is very good and original. Such a solid game on all fronts.
This might be my pick for best game in the jam, and that's after seeing quite a few games. This game feels exactly how a speed-based platformer should; simple controls and mechanics with a high ceiling of mastery. As I played more of the game and got more familiar with how to use the bouncing and how to maintain momentum, it got more and more addicting to try and spin my way through the whole level. The level design was also on point, with each level introducing new gimmicks, and changing the color palette and music with each level was a great touch as well (clown music is impeccable). The only real criticisms I can come up with is that the difficulty spike in Hell is pretty noticeable (with all the hazards near pits, it's pretty easy to get hit once and die for a minor mistake), and that the light/dark theme isn't super ingrained into the gameplay, mostly just serving as a difficulty toggle. I had to stretch a little bit to come up with these critiques though; if it wasn't for the relatively short playtime, this could be on Steam tomorrow and I wouldn't bat an eye. Amazing work!
Thanks, and I'm glad you liked it! Speed based platformers are some of my favorite games ever, so it's only natural I made one. Looking back on the game, I do agree with the critiques - I made the hell level quickly and it was hard to balance it without much time to get any feedback, and the lights aren't super integrated in the gameplay - somebody else pointed that out too. The color palette swapping was something I thought of before the jam even started, and I'm surprised that most of the games don't seem to do that.
And yes, the clown music is truly epic
It was a greate time, spin mecahanic is original, I'm very bad at games of this genre, so I'm stuck in it for a long time! Without checkpoints, it would be simply impossible for me to pass. Thanks for a good game!
great gameplay, I like the difficulty curve, and once you understand the controls it's a lot of fun
Great game, with smooth movement and fun mechanics!
Great mechanic and fun to play. Visuals and music were on point. Definitely one of the best entries I've played so far.

It's a fast paced platformer just like Pizza Tower, except, instead of running like a normal person, you spinning like a freaking maniac 😂
Overall, it's a very fun and chaotic game, but it is also very punishing. You accidently face-planted on the door frame, you bounce off and start falling in the wrong direction.
Very fun ! Well done !
Good job, I liked the last level
You guys just knocked it out of the park. Such a well programmed, fun, exciting game. Your graphics guy is great too. Well done, it was a privilege to play this game
Fun game, Great work!
Nice for kill time <3
That was suck a fun mechanic. I was going sooooo fast!

Lots of fun to blast around everywhere, bouncing off of every surface. I ended up completing all the levels except the last two, which I tried for a bit before giving up on.
My biggest critique would be your implementation of the Light/Dark theme. It's present in the form of turning the lights off so the enemies don't see you, but frankly it felt disconnected from your regular gameplay. What I mean by that is, if the enemies *always* behaved how they did when the lights were off, then the game would just feel more succinct.
Also, the fact that your main mechanic for light/dark was declared optional (in fact incentivized not to take part in it, with the achievement!) just felt weird.
Still though, I rated this one high! It was very well made and achieved at what it set out to do.
Well done!
Thanks! Glad you gave it a try and liked it! And thank you for the feedback. For the theme feeling disconnected, I would have sort of have to agree on that - the implementation is a bit awkward, and if I decide to follow up this game with a new (separate from the jam) version, the lights may just get completely removed. The levels get a bit unbalanced because I was in a bit of a rush near the end of the jam. But overall I'm proud of this game.
As you should be proud! I wouldn't say the game got unbalanced at the end; moreso I just lost my patience and wanted to move on. I think the difficulty was probably correct.
The controls are fun and the animations are incredibly well done. its very reminiscent of sonic
Thanks! Glad you liked it! And funny enough, this isn't the only time I've made a game resembling sonic. It seems to just be my thing.
