A very fun arcade shooter that harkens back to games such as Asteroids and Star Castle. The controls as slick and responsive, and the game plays like an early 80s arcade classic. The music just adds to that old arcade game charm. It gets exponentially more difficult as time passes, and I can just imagine this one being a coin guzzler if it was in an actual arcade back in the day.
Very nicely done!
Very cool arcade style game! The controls felt really responsive. Nice wok!
The music was great, and I liked the visual of the earth becoming more fractured after each asteroid hit! Nice job.
A good standalone game. The music was a main selling point.
A few suggestions:
I feel the controls were a bit too sensitive. I always seem to move a little too far to the right or left and miss my shot. Adding a bit of aim assist or homing might fix this, but showing the turn speed would also work.
Also, the earth has way too much health. I don’t think you should expect your player to get hit that much. When I tried to die, it took a good few dozen to kill it.
Anyway, good job. Thank you for sharing!
To be fairly honest, I did notice that the aiming is a bit of an issue, but in my mind there was basically no way to fix it due to the way the game is programmed. I'll try adding some aim assist or some remedy to this in the future, but I can't really make any promises. The earth's health on the other hand is just a thing of preference, I made it that you need 20 hits to the earth, since I didn't wanna make it too difficult. Thank you for the feedback!
