This is really good especially for your first game. Keep up the great work man.
Daniel, I'm so impressed by you. 12 years old and already making games and showing them to the world. Your game reminds me of the games I used to enjoy as a young boy. 'Defense War Tank' is just the beginning for you. KEEP GOING!
Really nailed that old-school 1-bit vibe. I felt like I was playing a game on my Vectrex!
The gameplay was well done, didn’t find any bugs. Felt good to scoot around in the tank. However, I feel it was a bit limiting to only have enemies spawn at the top. Made it too easy to camp at the top and destroy enemies as they spawned.
Not sure what engine you used, but the game window was fairly small and was not adjustable. I’m assuming that was the true pixel size of it, but it would help with visibility A TON if it would scale up and we could increase window size. I’d recommend a web build too, if that’s something the engine you used is able to export.
Also, I didn’t see the jam’s theme in the game.
Overall, great job!
Thank you very much for the feedback! I'm 12 years old and I really like retro games, so my father helped me with the ideas. This was the first game I made, it's like a dream come true. Your ideas were very good and we thought a lot about them but were unable to do them in a timely manner, such as the size of the window. I was able to activate the full window with alt+enter but I couldn't resize it. I forgot to comment, the JAM theme is at stage 20. Anyway, I'm really happy to have played, thank you very much!
