I really liked the bounciness of things, even the little bounce when you land and what happens when you throw things at enemies, and just the physics overall. Everything looked really good, the music and sound fits really well, and the game had a unique feel to it. I think it's one of my favorite submissions, so great job on this!

Developer

I appreciate it so much! It was a lot of fun figuring out new things for this project, the bumps and wiggles especially :D  Thank you so much for taking the time to play my game, and for such a kind review <3

The game is easy to get hang of, but is still challenging to complete. The underwater cave's layout is increasingly difficult. The gameplay, music and visuals are relaxing.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing <3

Excellent game! very challenging, did not reach the end if there was an end. The tone and aesthetic of it all is perfect, i found the whole experience pretty meditative

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it :) No worries on not completing it. The game can get pretty tough depending on what randomly selected jelly types generate at the start of the level. Thank you for playing!

Very cute and fun game!

Thank you so much <3

Great game; it's very fun and the movement feels really good! The one thing I think could be added is some UI: it would be really helpful to see how much health you have left and maybe even some kind of score to incentivize you to keep playing. Good job!

Developer

I agree, a visual to better see the players health would certainly be beneficial. And some sort of score system would be a good way to incentivize jelly hunting :) Thank you so much for the kind feedback, and thanks again for playing!

Loved it just for the axolotl. Camera shakes when hitting the wall did feel a bit disorienting for me, but overall great game!

Developer

Thank you , much appreciated. The screen shouldn't shake when hitting a wall, but it does in a few other ways. I may have gone overboard once I had it figured it out XD. Thank you for playing!

Awesome and cute game! Never played anything quite like it, the throwing mechanic was a bit hard to use at first, but got easier. Well done really like it :D

Developer

Thank you so much and thank you for playing! I really appreciate it <3

Incredibly laggy, but even cuter than that! Not sure if it's an issue with Godot and the browser, but I hope it runs better for everyone else.

Developer

The lag may be due to the last minute level I made for the game. Due to crunch I was unable to make a proper load system, so everything kind of exists in the level all at once. Or it might be a shader... Or it might be Godot itself XD.  Sorry it's so laggy, but thank you for playing!

This was a cutely frustrating little game XD I got through the whole game without realizing I could grab stuff till the final section... Really cute tho, the physics was kinda weird at first... It still is, but once I got used to it I could more easily get through the level.... well done!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing! Glad to hear you played it all the way through :) It could certainly use a proper introduction to the mechanics and other essentials. Congrats on the pacifist run your first time through!

This was a lot of fun! Once I got the hang of flying around with an item in hand, I started forming strategies and plans of attack. It does feel like it gets a too difficult too fast, I felt like I wasn't able to get far once the jellies got dense enough. But I believe I could get much farther if I spent more time getting good at the game. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Due to crunch I wasn't able to get it nearly as refined as it could have been.   A quick tutorial, or a little play area in the beginning wouldn't hurt. The enemies and items are all randomized when starting a level, which makes it kind of random in difficulty too. Intended to be slightly different every time, for better or worse. Glad you enjoyed what you played, Thanks again for the kind words <3

can't play

Developer

This may be due to Godot and likely a browser compatibility issue.  The error may be least likely if the game is run on a Chrome browser. Errors seem to crop up on firefox or other browsers according what what I've been able to find on the subject. I hope that helps <3
