Great looking use of a 2D sprites on a PSX background. I was able to punch the crocs all the way up in the air, that was amusing. Kinda ended abruptly with a cute cat.
Glad you enjoyed punching the crocs, we wanted to emulate the awesome feeling of traveling across the screen as you combo enemies like in Castle Crashers!
First of all, Art direction wise; LOVED IT. Absolutely adored the PS1 Background with 2D Sprites.
I would have easily got invested in the story as I m a cat dad myself ^^
But.... I didnt quite understand the last bit... I fought off everyone and then had, what I thought is, my own cathorse attack me and defeat me?
All in all, liked the presentation, the gameplay could use more feedback/impact to be more engaging ^^
Thank you for your feedback, as the artist im happy is being well recieved. Yeah we kinda runed out of time to implement more narratives and implemented well. The final cat is another cat, is a catfish lol. That's why you rescue your own cat which is a cat-horse ( sea horse merged with a cat ) Tho, with the small resources we had on time we definetly didn't portrayed well enough the whole the whole story. Thank you for your feedback, this is definetly something that we have to fix in the future <3
oh this pixel characters on top of the ps1 3d scenario makes this stand out pretty easily, wonder how it would look like with some more effects
Thank you! We are still in early stage, but there is a lot of animations and things that are in the drawer still. We definetly may try some more effects as soon as it runs smooth in low specs computers :D Thank you very much for your feed back :D
