Liz England breaks down the key roles that are present in modern game studios in her essay The Door Problem. She mentions many interesting parts of the team, the ones that sound the best to me and the ones I would like to occupy some day are: Creative Director, Project Manager, Designer, Art Director, and Systems designer. The ones that I would not enjoy being are a Lighter and Network Programmer. She also mentions a few roles that I didn’t know where critical to releasing a game such as the Release Engineer. England presents another role that I was not aware was a separate role in a studio that is the Monetization Designer. This role, I believe, would generate better the solutions to monetize the game would be better that the example given since as taking the example as a whole truth I believe this role in a studio could be better utilized.
