🎉 Trueclash – Version 0.2 launch date (Early Access for Senior Board Members)

The 0.2 update is coming soon and it’s a big one. This new version adds over 23,000 words to the game, which is more than half the size of Version 0.1!

But here’s the catch: This is a replayability-focused update. If you only play once, it may feel smaller than it truly is. The value lies in replaying scenes with new choices and exploring variations based on what you did before and during the Beerpong event.

📝 TL;DR – What’s New in 0.2?

🔁 Pre-Beerpong Content:

• Several older scenes were rewritten or adjusted for smoother, more engaging reading.

• Introduction to Viktor and his assistant: a short but important encounter that sets the tone for their role in the story.

• Adrian's bar scene has been expanded and finished.

• Diego now has additional pre-Beerpong content, but it’s only available if you explore Adrian’s route. Also:
  • Removed the restriction that blocked saving during your first meeting with him.
  • Made it easier to unlock his secret CG.

His tone is slightly softer in key moments.

🏓 Beerpong Event:

• The Beerpong event is here and it’s deeply variable. Dialogue, hidden routes, and scene outcomes shift depending on your actions before and during the event.

• Over 36 variables are tied to this scene (and that’s not even all of them). Some have a strong impact, others are subtle but they all matter.

• A small minigame lets you win or lose. It’s simple, but your past decisions influence what options you’ll have during the match... and afterward. Let’s see if you win or lose 🍺

I’m truly proud of how some moments in this section turned out. The current update covers the Beerpong event up to the end of the match.

🎬 A New Ending:

Yes. A new ending was added to this version. I’m really happy with how it came out and so were my testers. Let’s see if you can find it.

🧩 A New Character Tease: 

 A short teaser for a new character, Joel, was added. You’ll likely have a chance to speak with him more in Version 0.3.

🎨 Visual Updates:

🖼 Diego – Visual Overhaul:

• Diego’s sprites were the most improved. His older art didn’t match the quality of other protagonists, and I honestly feel I neglected him a bit in v0.1.

• Every sprite was updated via silent patches, and now in 0.2:
  • All of Diego’s sprites are refreshed
  • New expressions were added (exclusive to v0.2)

🖼 CGs & Backgrounds:

• 3 new CGs

• 3 new backgrounds

🖼 Other Aesthetic Enhancements:

• Some older backgrounds were improved.

Quality improvements to existing sprites (Diego and Matt saw the most noticeable changes. Yes, Matt is finally wearing pants now).

Expect 2 to 3 new music tracks, alongside new ambience and sound effects added to key scenes.
