Honestly, I underestimated how hard it would be to publish on Steam.
Between configuring depots, vdf files, branches, builds, pricing approval, and navigating menus that sometimes don’t even have clickable links—this process was a gauntlet.
It made me realize: if I didn’t truly believe in this game, I would’ve given up halfway.
But Stretch means something to me, so I stuck it out. If you’re another indie dev trying to push through Steam’s maze—hang in there. You’re not alone.
