This week marks the end of our production phase, we’ve wrapped up implementing new mechanics and are now shifting gears into polish. From new pickups and visual effects to a more dangerous orca, we’ve packed in a lot before the polish phase kicks off. Time to refine what’s here and make Penguin Party the best it can be! 🐧
This week we added a sworfish with all its necessary animations to give the player more ways to get the upper hand.
The emote department has begun active development to elevate the Penguin Party player experience and undisputably make it one of the video games out there.
This week, a lot of time was spent on improving visual clarity and player feedback. Various things were added, like landing indicators, a puffer flicker effect, and more.
Since a new fish recently joined our pick-up family, a bunch of effects and animations were also implemented for him.
We figured our orca deserved a bit more love and attention too. Its player detection and movement were updated to make it just a little more reliable as a killer.
