Hop into Egg-Mania – A Festive Easter Retro Arcade game out now!
The Monday before the Easter weekend, I took a break from my main game dev project to tackle a fun, smaller side project in my spare time. The result? Egg-Mania, an Easter-themed remake of a classic retro arcade game!
In Egg-Mania, you play as a nimble bunny rabbit navigating vibrant, maze-filled levels to collect Easter eggs while dodging clucking chickens. It has a charming 3D-style and is a treat for retro fans!
Key Features:
• Evade & Collect: Snatch all the eggs in a level to progress while outsmarting four enemy types with distinct behaviors.
• Power Up: Grab special wrapped eggs for a Fire Power-Up that sends chickens running!
• Five Fun Levels: Explore looping, maze-filled worlds bursting with festive vibes.
• Smooth Controls: Supports keyboard (WASD/Esc) and gamepad (Left Thumbstick/Right Special for pause), with menu navigation.
Performance:
Tested on a GTX 970 (entry-level, 26-42 FPS at 1080p) and RX 6800xt (mid/high-end, 115-215 FPS at 1080p).
Known Issues:
• Scoreboard menu after "Game Over" may not always detect gamepad input.
• First launch might not display "Resolution Scale" or "Frame Rate" correctly (fixed by restarting).
