Guardian Realms RPG - Dev Log Update 0.3

Hello Guardians!

This update brings one of the biggest visual improvements to the game so far! I’ve moved away from the default RPG Maker character sprites and have begun giving major characters their own custom visuals, including conversational portraits and in-battle enemy profiles. I intend to update the pixel sprites in the next update.

Character Visual Overhaul

The following characters have received full custom visuals:

• Scout Master Wayne (based on his Guardian Realms TCG card)

• Gareth “The Hill” Carroway (based on his Guardian Realms TCG card)

• The Chainmaster (based on his Guardian Realms TCG card)

• Grand Marshal Lima (based on his Guardian Realms TCG card)

• Hans the Drunkard

• Lumberjack Henry

• Fisherman Tim (has been renamed in honor and reference to livestreamer Oatsuns. Was formerly known as Fisherman Will)

Gameplay & Balance Updates

• Title Screen – I've created and added both a splash screen for my business name at the beginning of the game, and a new custom title screen that matches the banner we have here on itch.io! I think it looks great, but feedback is welcome!

• Text Cleanup – Yep, again. Dialogue and minor UI text got more polish.

• Early Game Loot Rebalanced – Adjusted loot values and availability to keep early progression balanced.

• Loot Reset System – After Act 2, your inventory is now cleared to reflect the story events. Act 3 includes gainable loot to help rebuild your power with upgraded gear.

• Enemy Stat & Loot Table Rebalance – Some enemies now have more sensible drops and stat tuning.

• Brine the Hero – Once again, fully removed from the game. (He’s not coming back. Promise.)
