Devlog #2 - version 0.7

Dungeon Cards - Curse of the Deck
A browser game made in HTML5

📅 21/03/2025

Hey everyone! 👋

Time for Devlog #2 of Dungeon Cards (still debating that name... but let’s roll with it for now).

🔥 Version 0.7 is here! 🔥

This update brings some major improvements, making the game feel smoother, more accessible, and even more competitive! Let’s dive in.

📱 Now Playable on Mobile!

One of the biggest challenges so far has been adapting the game for mobile devices. But after some UI tweaks, input adjustments, and general optimization—you can now play it directly from your phone! No downloads, just pure arcade action on the go!

If you’ve got a touchscreen, give it a shot and let me know how it feels!

🏆 High Score System Added!

What’s an arcade-inspired game without a proper high score table? Now, Dungeon Cards tracks your best runs so you can truly test your skills and aim for the top.

This also opens up the possibility of leaderboards in the future—but let’s see how far we can push this system first.

🎨 Backgrounds Are Finally Here!

Until now, the game was feeling a bit... generic. That changes today! I’ve added full backgrounds to give each battle more personality. Everything still sticks to the 8 bit retro aesthetic, but now it feels like you’re actually battling in a dungeon instead of the Zelda placeholders lol.

🔮 What’s Next?

  • Unique Game Modes – Maybe a time-attack challenge? Or an endless survival mode?
  • Visual Customization – Unlockable game themes?

Got ideas? Tell me!

🎮 Try It Now!

The updated version is live on Itch.io (0.7)! Play it, break the high scores, and let me know:
💬 Does the mobile version feel good?
💬 What kind of modes would you add to the password option?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. 🚀
