Fourteenth Fantasy : Harem Reborn

Good moooorniiiing Eorzea !

I made a huge step forward this week by finally implementing the three new crafting jobs. If you’re on Patreon, you might have seen the new assets for Blacksmith, Goldsmith and Carpenter made by Michelle a few days ago. Well now they’re in the game, along with the new recipes, new levequests and a new crafting skill.

Speaking of recipes, here’s a little look at the Google Sheets I use for all the craft-related game design. Aside from having the ingredients and “in-craft step materials” in one place, it also allowed me to balance things and not always ask for the same materials over and over.

I also added a little checkmark in the crafting menu, in front of every completed recipe, exactly like in the original game. For now it doesn’t give any bonus, but I figured that would make a nice incentive to craft for completionists.

Next week, while I finish working on Hilda’s second quest, I’ll also start to focus on battle-related stuff : things like making the Machinist skills (aka summoning a turret) work, adding an “Escape / Back” option in case you misclicked on a fight, displaying the buff/debuff lengths, giving skills to the Hunt targets (for less bland fights) or simply adding the new enemies that are starting to take shape under Elz’s pencil. Probably won’t be able to do all that in such a short time, but stay tuned nonetheless !
