Hello, thanks again for everyone's continued feedback and support. You guys are awesome.
Another update, this time adding a bunch of fixes and the Tower inn projects. You can research monster drops for EXP, experiment to gain bonuses to spells, and enchant your armor for additional effects in combat. This is only the first, and somewhat limited, implementation of these systems. They will be expanded a great deal in future updates.
Next update will focus on new NPCs and story, and continue to expand the inn projects - among other things. Thanks!

-Lucy can shield you in combat
- Tower projects unlocked (Enchanting, Experimenting, and Researching)
-Enchanting allows you to apply magic effects to your weapons + armor. 3 armor enchantments are currently in game, more to come.
-Experimenting allows you to spend time + resources to discover new spells and upgrade known ones. Only upgrades are working at the moment, spells coming soon.
-Researching allows you to spend time + resources for big chunks of EXP.
-New resources added to support tower projects. They are currently monster drops.

-Fixed a nasty save bug. Some progress would save before the start of the new day, this is no longer the case.
