(Copied over from steam update, some of these changes were included in the first upload for the demo already.)
After some feedback and playtesting, I've identified some major pain points early game. This patch aims to remedy this a lot. This is only the first part of the planned changes, I wanted to get the newer tutorial out right now as I expect the rest to take some time.
Enjoy, here are the changes.
0.4.0.0
Additions:
- An alert now appears when a shift ends.
- Added some temporary music to the game, this'll replaced later down in development.
Other Changes:
- Opening containers no longer counts as crafting the items you'd have received.
- Overhauled a large portion of the tutorial, trying to add more context to the game and the goals.
- Overhauled the "Getting the Ball Rolling" part of the tips. It wasn't doing a good job guiding players before, hopefully this helps.
- The guide and audit are no longer unlocked after the tutorial is done. The guide is unlocked shortly afterwards, though.
- The background of the screen now looks a bit different, it was using the wrong colours.
- Pins are now clamped to the sides of the screen.
Balance:
- Reduced how quickly the scaling for rent prices increases.
- The raid group's leader's (indicated by the crown) stats now impacts the raid more than the rest of the raiding group.
- Game has been slowed down again. Sorry, but I found that players were getting overwhelmed with the speed as lot happens very fast. The day takes around 10% longer now, closer to the original demo speed.
- The first day now starts at 6AM again.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a visual issue with the Farmer's Hat.
- Fixed an issue with the end of day visual.
- Actually fixed an issue related to building a new room on furniture.
- Fixed a crash caused by the dungeon section of the guide. (May have been happening outside of the dungeon too, just where I saw it happen.)
