itch.io keeps bugging me, telling me to post update blogs when I push updates.
So I figure now is as a good time as any to start posting.
Ive been mostly polishing my workflow, from idea to creation to complete product within the game. Stage one is pretty much in its complete form, just missing some sprites for the enemies, background elements and some decoration. Stage 2 is still very much in development. I was doing the worst thing possible in a platforming game all about speed and put a water level in it. Aaaand, it was surprisingly bearable. Despite slowing things down, it gave more game-play opportunities. The slower speed allowed for some high precision movement and as such can be satisfying in a different way. For my third stage, well its only in the idea phase right now. It will probably take a while to come out, but Its gonna be cool.
Its time to start developing the story of the game, its nothing special, but I figure that having a plot line there will make it more engaging. It would mean that the main character would need to get fleshed out a bit more. So far all I got is a name.
Despite all my music, the next step is going to be fleshing out the background on stage 1. getting proper sprites for the enemies, fix two rather jarring bugs that is holding it back, and add a new attack animation for attacking things above you. Its probably gonna take me a week if I focus.
