So I took a short two year break but I am back with probably the biggest and most important update to hit this project.
Mod support.
Currently the game now has support for custom maps and custom voice packs. From the start of this project my main goal was to make a game that could be used as a platform that people could mod the hell out of, and that has finally come to fruition.
as well as some other small unimportant updates like an upgrade to a newer version of Unity, improved UI, a complete rework of the perk system which will allow for completely custom perks to be created, optimizations to the zombie spawning system, a complete rewrite of the multiplayer that I promised 2 years ago (Still work in progress), and two new maps as well as some updates to the other maps.
As for the future of the game, I am considering releasing it free to play on Steam so people can take advantage of the Steam Workshop (NO PROMISES I AM A COLLEGE STUDENT AND MY FUNDS ARE VERY LIMITED).
Once I finish the multiplayer rewrite and make sure I replace any placeholder assets that I may or may not have the rights to use I will most likely publish a proper beta build on itch, as well as the mod tools so anyone can do as they please with the game.
If anyone sees this update I may look into creating a Discord server for the game so people can share mods and I can share progress, so stay tuned for the next devlog.
