0.3 Food and Goal area

A browser game made in HTML5

I started by re-ordering things so that it's left-to-right, like in URP.

  • All characters now have an area to detect food/get detected by a goal
  • It is now possible to end the game and it gets restarted
  • All characters can now pick up food (hotdogs) but can't use them yet
  • Walls are thinner
  • Map was slightly adjusted (caught the the red center z-fighting on a corner).
  • Added several sounds

All in all Godot Engine is more powerful and performant than PlayCanvas but adding many more ways to do things is overbearing. For instance I am aware that I could change collision masks to differentiate the Goal area from the Food areas but that is an options for advanced users. It was easier to use external methods though.
