Text To Speech 1.4 Update
The extension has been updated to version 1.4.
Improvements:
- The premade example deck now provides a clearer explanation of how commands work, with more comprehensive examples for all TTS services.
- The
TTSKStatus.speaking
variable now more accurately indicates when the TTS is speaking and when it has stopped.
Bug Fixes:
- Addressed multiple issues related to the Polly TTS engine:
- The
TTSKPollySpeak
command now correctly displays the Neural and Input Type options.
- The Input Type option allows selection between regular (non-SSML) and manual (SSML) types.
- Random voice selection is now accurate, based on whether a Neural voice is chosen, without errors in selecting the incorrect voice type (neural/classic).
- Selecting a voice that does not support neural/classic features or providing incorrectly formatted SSML no longer renders TTS unresponsive. Reloading Bridge is no longer required to recover TTS functionality.
- Addressed other minor issues.
How to update:
- Back up any custom buttons or commands in the premade deck in SAMMI, e.g. the settings button.
- Download the latest Text to Speech by K.sef file.
- Install the extension. When SAMMI asks you to replace it, press yes. When SAMMI asks you to replace the deck, press yes.
- Restore anything you backed up in step 1.
- You’re back in business!
