Over all the game is nearly finished. Right now I'm waiting for some art to get done, and V1.0 will be a go.
I have assembled from my play testing group some players for a regular bi-weekly campaign. This is a departure from the open table play we've done so far. In the long term Pagan Pacts will get some more rules supporting campaign play.
I'm sure that after that, I will have had enough of the Viking Fantasy genre for a bit. But I do not plan to ditch the underlying system. I have already experiemented with adapting and simplifying the system with Cohabitation , a 2-page rpg about flat mates with differing world views. Other things I could see myself doing with the engine is a modern day HEMA game, where something akin to the debate arguments table is used to represent different techniques used in a fight. And "Peaky Pacts", a game set in the 20ies, where you gain favors from gang leaders instead of spirits.
