Imprecision: Devlog #2 - Enemies, Xbox, Steam, and Early Access!

In these devlogs, I will show you the development process from start to finish, for an archery game called Imprecision. Before I begin developing, I like to brainstorm ideas and create a Game Design Document (GDD). Here is a link to a template GDD. This post will consist of Story Levels, Enemies, Xbox, Steam, and Early Access.

Let's get started!

Halló, dróttinn ferðamaðr! (Hello, adventurer!) We now have story levels and enemies! Spiders, Cyclops, and The Black Knights! I also have released Imprecision in Early Access on PC/Xbox, Android, iOS, and Steam. The development is coming together!

Story Levels

The story levels have began development. Level 1, Skógr (Forest), is available to play in the Early Access version of Imprecision. Level 2, Hol (Cave), and Level 3, Borg (Fortress), are shaping up nicely.

Enemies

Enemy AI's are setup and working for the most part! The current enemies are Spiders (Köngulær), Cyclops (Jötnar), The Black Knights (Fjölkyngi Drengir). You will face spiders and a knight in level 1, spiders and ogres in level 2, spiders, an ogre, and knights in level 3. Then fight the King in Level 4 to finish the story. Each enemy has a follow distance and an attack distance. When the player enters the follow distance the enemy will start following. When the enemy is close enough it will attack.

Early Access

In the Early Access version of Imprecision, you will have access to all 50 Precision Levels and the first level of the story. Level 1 will be missing the cutscenes and story elements. Early Access is available on PC/Xbox, Steam, Android, and IOS. PC/Xbox does not have Xbox Live login yet. Updates will gradually come out. Players can suggest features/ideas in the Discord Server to help shape the final outcome of Imprecision.
