The demo version's main purpose was to see if the idea and characters feel right and if I'd like to keep working on it.
I think it does for the most part but I'll definitely change a few things (like replacing placeholder names like Guidey I forgot to change...)
The main thing I will probably drop is the optional personality type for the protagonist. I know the game doesn't tell you, so it's sort of an easter egg if you explored the choices but the very first choice changes the personality of the protagonist. I kinda liked this option because then the player can interactively change the protagonist, how he reacts to things in the game. Sort of a character customization as you play along.
But sadly it's a lot of work to write the script 2 times, so I might drop this idea. And I'll probably go with the more serious version of the protag but if you have any opinion on this feel free to comment. Maybe the other version is more fun, I'd be curious which one is more likely to be chosen.
Also after the intro(demo) part of the game it becomes less linear. You can freely explore places in the space station and it is up to you if you can figure out how to access certain places. It might be a lot more work but I'd like this visual novel to be more interactive and and player involved rather than just being a story.
