Level 1 Complete redesign and lightning issues

Issue: Our team came to a decision to re-make level 1. We drew out a design on the board, and everything looked good, so I began blocking it out. That's when I faced a couple of issues. The level was looking kind of empty in the middle, and I felt that half of the map was just unreasonable to play. As well Once the level was blocked out, I had to come up with an idea of how would the light was going to light up the place and make the area feel somewhat scary/exciting.


Solution: To fill in the map, our team has decided to separate the level into two parts and put the gate in the middle, which would make the player solve one extra puzzle and learn his new mechanic, such as hacking, which would make him feel special. As for the lighting problem I faced, I solved it by making some of the lights static, and some of them didn't cast a shadow, making the level more fun to play. I still have a feeling that he is not supposed to be there.
