Striple 1.4 is available to play now.

This is a small update that features one new playable set of a new lady: Jess.

I picked up Victoria9 on sale and played around a bit with HDRIs.  It's... not as straightforward and easy as I hoped it would be, which kinda defeats the point.

There are a lot of bad HDRIs out there, and very few of them seem to come with helpful presets for the camera and model position.  There's usually only one angle that works because the sun is in a certain place, but you have to hunt for it, and some had the sun straight up in the sky which meant there were no good angles to be had at all, at least for humans. (hair cast awkward shade on the face no matter what). The parts where the model touches the ground often to look off (feet don't sink into grass or sand, etc), and shadows get cast into weird places where there shouldn't be shadows (like off the edge of a cliff).   In the end I did get one to work decently, and it does render pretty quick, so I turned it into a quick Striple set.

Victoria 9 is a fantastic figure though. The fact that she can stand there in the middle of a real photo and not look too out of place is kindof amazing.

I just picked up a pretty decent HDRI of a sandy beach on sale, so Jess will probably be back soon in a bathing suit...
