Another fairly incremental update with one major addition, a third AI search option that's somewhere between Greedy and MCTS, A*.
There are a few smaller changes that fixed longstanding issues with how the game detected input, causing menus and other features to behave badly. That has been fixed. It turns out polling the keyboard is much smoother than the event system Ren'Py and pygame use.
The big feature is A*, basically if you want something fairly predictable with some variation, A* is your best bet. It takes slightly more resources than greedy but not anything close to A*. If you have doubts, stick with the defaults.
Rika's rules have been reworked and some affects have had their roles switched, namely worry and fear. Fear is now the background affect and worry is one of the easy to express ones.
Chiara's affects all move significantly faster than before and playing her should be more responsive than before.
Those are the main things, I hope you enjoy them and I'm hoping to actually get back to writing in the new year to finally get the game to a fully releasable state.
