Hello there! It's been almost 3 weeks after the last update, so here's another Yambola devlog.
We implemented Yamboman's run animation! Thanks to onlinegiftools.com we easily converted our animations from gif format into a sprite sheet. The animation is still kinda "quick n' dirty", but it's been helping us find physics details we need to work on.
Talking about those physics details, the ball doesn't clip anymore if Yamboman stands above it, but we still need to figure out some velocity issues.
If you check out our latest build, you will see a timer at the top of the screen. It doesn't do anything yet, but it's related to the time left before the ball changes. There will be another timer showing the remaining time, but it's still work in progress.
We hope for the next week to have solved the ball's physics issues and added more Yamboman animations (and a proper color scheme for Yamboman's opponent), so stay tuned and check the demo!
