The jam results are finally in and I can now release an update. Been sitting on this and tinkering with it for few months now. So what is new?
Obviously! There were some major game breaking bugs like the queued tiles getting destroyed before the swap causing a complete lock not allowing you to do swaps anymore and just sit there and wait for your imminent death. Super annoying. I can't even remember all the bugs that were found and ironed out. Hopefully the update itself doesn't introduce anything that major anymore. ๐ค
There were some "minor balancing issues" in the original and that has been touched a bit. The skill Inner Demon, I'm looking at you...
Quite a few new and different enemies were added to spice up the runs. This is the new gang. Looks quite dark now that I look at em in a vacuum... ๐ค
Probably the biggest game changer. The skill count was brought up from 32 to 52 almost doubling the original set. I also reworked some of the less appealing skill choices to align better with the good ones.
A classic daily run mode to add a twist to normal gameplay and a more competitive setting where the run is identical (apart from choices made) for everyone and it can only be tried once per day. Looking forward to having some competition there and not having to dominate the leaderboard all by myself as it has been for over a month now. ๐
As you might have noticed from the previous gif, the leaderboards will also display the character with the gear. Just a very minor addition that has no actual gameplay impact but I like it cause it inserts some personality to the leaderboard scores. Well actually in the daily mode you can kinda predict what will be offered based on other player gear.
So yeah, that's it. Looking forward to getting dethroned from the leaderboards and especially hearing what you think!
