#MHGB #Monster Hunter #Game Boy #GB Studio #Analogue Pocket
Howdy y'all. Quick note about GB Studio 3.0 and Analogue Pocket stuff since I don't talk much here.
I wanted to hold off on doing more game stuff until 3.0 dropped but now that it's here, transferring the project over kind of breaks most of the systems that were in place. MHGB didn't have much going for it, so I think it'd be easier to just start from scratch on a 3.0 version of the project. If I was better with programming I could probably pinpoint where the issues are but that's a bit beyond me, and I really just want to get a working version out that people could also use on their Analogue Pockets.
It might be better to start fresh since 3.0 offers some improved math functions, so maybe stuff like the farm systems could be streamlined behind the scenes. I don't care too much about recreating the Jam demo exactly, but I'll still have it available for anyone that wants to try it out specifically.
This is a super unorganized/casual project for me, so it's not like I have any sort of schedule for updates and such for y'all. I've been wanting to try out some of the other tools GB Studio offers as well so I might play with other projects too eventually. I'm a bit quiet on Twitter about game dev stuff but if anyone wanted to keep up with me that's the best place to do so. I also stream development every now and then on my Twitch channel if you wanted to catch me live.
Thanks to y'all reading. I'll try to have a super basic demo out for you soon before I add onto it.
