Wow, I can't believe it's been nearly 100 days since I last posted an update. Actually, I can, and I'm sad. To make up for it I'm going to work put my nose to the grindstone to get a press-ready version (Which I dubbed version 0.69) finished by the end of the month. This version, 0.42 obviously bears the new title, MiniCOM Pilot, but it also has the following changes:
I think I might be done with the mouse controls. There's just one more problem that I need to tackle. I'm attempting to solely use icons for the menus to keep from having to worry about translation. The logo on the title is just a placeholder I whipped up based on the logo for the Game Boy game Alleyway. For the moment the settings menu is kept in its own section of the game. Because of this, the game will end if you change settings while playing a level. In the future, I will allow the settings to be changed in-game. I plan to have music in the next update, and that will have its own toggle. I plan to change the toggles to sliders for more audio control. I'm not sure what I'll have the numbers for the scaler be replaced with. Definitely something better than the hacky solution I have now.
Look forward to the next update!
