Hey Skaters!
We're back again with another free content update! This is coming in hot after the release of our last update, Lost in Space, and expands the updated game's customization with more stuff to unlock! This event(and coinciding LTM!) has Skaters going back in time, being titled Skatey 80s. This update features 3 new boards, 4 new obstacles, a new cassette collectable, QOL improvements and an increase to the Rep level cap to 40.
The new LTM, Skatey 80s, is a course made of exclusively 80s items featuring the synthwave Neoflip track made by Jay Rademachir(@beaniemusic). Grind on boomboxes, kickflip over amps, pop off on electric keyboards and pick up the new collectables, cassette tapes. Picking these up will grant 5 music notes each so get as many as you can! Past that your board will also be a random selection of all the new boards added in the Skatey 80s update!
Here's a couple shots of what you'll see in the mode:
Past content updates, we've been continuing working in the backend on QOL improvements and adjustments to the reward structures in-game. With this update we've continued to boost the reward of On-Beat tricks and have adjusted the spawn system to be more consistent. On that note, we're looking into other methods for level generation as a larger-scale rework in the long term. We'll keep you updated as it develops for sure! For more immediate updates, our programmer Carter Costes has begun streaming as he works on the game here. Feel free to tune in and provide direct feedback for the game!
