Update 1.1 is on its way! Heres what to expect.

Hiya!

There has been a while since YAP first released and i have been very silent since I've been busy with school. However i am greatful for everyone who have downloaded, played, shared and rated YAP! I did not expect any support in the slightest but its been a joy to see people play my game and actually enjoy it. So again, thank you very much!

Since release, i have been slowly working on an update for YAP! The information about it has actually been public for a while on my twitter (follow me for 90% random nonsense and 10% game dev!) where i have talked about the details and shared some WIP footage. But i never announced it officially on Itch so i suppose now is the time to do so!

YAP 1.1 is a big update featuring the big new Time trial feature along with many other smaller features and much needed quality of life changes! Time trial introduces a flag pole in every level, interacting with it will give you a timer so you better hurry to the end of the level! Depending on the time you get, you will be awarded between 1 to 3 medals. The more medals you earned, the more skins you can unlock. Yeah thats right, skins! There are now unlockable skins in the game that changes the look of your character and animations. These are all ofcourse free cosmetics that are unlockable throughout the game. No MTX BS, this is a singleplayer game after all! Currently I'm aiming for 7-8 skins so i hope you look forward to unlocking them! 1.1 also introduces other needed additions such as saving, a speedrun timer and an accessability option to change the death block texture to help colorblind people who might struggle.

Development on 1.1 is almost done, and there will be full patch notes when its done! I have not put a deadline on myself since its exam season so all i can say is that its done when its done! But it shouldn't be too long hopefully haha.
