10.3.2021 - Modding the Platformer - circa 3hours
Overall it was a great experience playing with the platformer and I feel like I have gained a general sense what to do and where to look for tools etc.
The only problem I have encountered was that the newest version of the platformer and the version for which the tutorial was made are slightly different, but thankfully it didn't cause any significant issues.

Playing with 2D Game Kit - 2 Hours - I've learned more basics
The 2D Game Kit Walkthrough was pretty fun and it inspired me to create my own level with some original ideas.

Creating my own Level - 1.5 Hours - You can download and see for yourself
My main focus was to make a level simple in layout yet hard in execution. Its not a long level but it requires player to master the precise movement which the game offers. There are jumps that might seem impossible at first, but believe, once you can make them the feeling is just exquisite.
There is even a secret area, but its not easy to get there so the feeling is even more rewarding when you do. There is no treasure yet unfortunately.
Only when I've built the game with example scenes did I notice how easy and elegant you can make the text pop on player a navigate them through controls and story. But I am really proud of how I overcome the need to tell the player something and not knowing how to use the right tools. I admit, it looks a bit shaggy, but I like the creativity behind it.
There is even a simple storyline which the character follows, so go ahead and try it for yourself!
The feature to actually pick up the key at the and is unfortunately not yet implemented, but feel free to ti be proud of yourself once you can reach it.
