#november2020 #devlog
First off, I’d like to thank everyone who has taken the time to play the demo for Slurb. I’ve received some great feedback, and can’t wait to get more of the game completed and ready to share with you. I’m planning on doing monthly status updates, so that everyone can keep abreast with the development efforts.
November has been … uh … very 2020 in regards to my personal life, so I was not able to make as much progress with Slurb as I was hoping for. My goal was to complete chapter 2 by the end of the month and I’m a smidgen over halfway with that. That being said, things look like they are finally settling down and I’m still optimistic about targeting early spring 2021 for a full release.
I am calculating the overall progress in regards to how many core scenes are coded into the game. I am definitely guilty of editing scenes as I code them in, so looking at the number of completed scenes is definitely a more accurate measure of progress than word or page count. Chapter 2 is where romances have the potential to begin developing. I really have a lot of fun writing scenes where the characters try to navigate their emotions — just look at Shay’s blushing sprite, isn’t it adorable?
