It’s been a while, huh? Time flies when you’re.. uh.. working from home and also doing everything else from home. But time is also meaningless, so maybe it hasn’t been a while after all. Who knows? Anyway, I have progress to report, so:
I’m working on the next revision now, and hope to have it finished in July. I don’t expect the rules to change much between now and then, so if you were planning to play it, no need to wait. Go ahead and use 0.3.1, and let me know how it went!
Also, version 0.4 will probably be the last with a $0 minimum. I plan to charge $2.00 starting at version 0.5, and $3-5 for version 1.0. Alternate settings and other “extras” will remain free. And of course, if you’ve paid anything at all for an older version, you’ll still get future updates free.
Over the next few months, I’ll be posting alternative settings/quickstarts/playbooks (clearly, I haven’t decided what to call them yet) for Unincorporated. Here are the ideas I’ve got so far:
If you have an idea for one not on the list, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. Or make one yourself, and feel free to post it publicly. Unincorporated has a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, so you can even sell your settings if you want! And let me know if you do, so I can plug them.
I’ll be running a one-shot with Ye Olde Faire, the first alternative setting, at Gauntlet Community Open Gaming on July 18. Anyone can sign up, so come on in and enjoy some dubiously-historical drama! BYO turkey leg.
