Version 2.0 Update
As promised my fellow Delvers, I have produced a 2.0 update!
Major Changes include:
- Removing all straight borrowed random tables and added a bunch of new ones
- I have tossed the Action+Theme and Description tables and all that and put in my own version of the Action+Attribute+Thing table inspired by Dragonbane's solo rules. The 3 columns can be combined or rolled on separately to provide either inspiration phrases, or single words. I feel it works better than the original tables
- The Location Oracle table is one I wrote
- There is now a Specific Location oracle table from Just One Sword
- Settlement Oracles for a Focus, POI, Appearance, and size
- A d100 NPC characteristics table
- d20 Investigation Quest generator
- d20 Item-Based quest generator
- d100 Adventure Site Names expanded from the one I wrote in Just One Sword
- Dungeon Site Design table for what the place looks like when you get there. Borrowed from Just One Dragon
- BUILD THE NARRATIVE: This had been 2 d20 tables but I changed it to 2 2d6 tables I had written for Just One Dragon. It makes things trend better, and gives less head-scratching results IMO
- 2 page rules on Running Investigations along with an Investigations Twist table I wrote for Just One Rapier. This will give you more options than just dungeon dives
- DUNGEON EXPLORATION: I upgraded this to a d100 with d10 content tables. It altered the odds in a way I felt worked better, and also I feel it is formatted better
- Includes a new aspect: EVENTS. Now dungeons are not just Encounters, but potentially a Threat, Spoor, Discovery, etc. Threats are an option inclusion to have a countdown or danger that pushes you forward. Optional.
- I also updated the final build rules to be more in line with Just One Sword where unexplored Exits now lead to other exits to give you better loops
- I reformatted the Expanded Dressing tables to be readable in Portrait, and consolidated the Air/Sound/Furniture/etc. tables to be more consolidated
Other than that, I just did some tweaks to wording, phrasing, etc.
Book is now at 48 pages including covers, so it should still print just fine.
Happy Delving!
