Hello everyone!
Today I’m excited to release the first playable demo of the RPG Combat Toolkit, a modular turn-based combat framework designed for Unity 6.
This demo is a small slice of the full system, focused purely on tactical grid combat — movement, initiative, abilities, AP, statuses, and classic RPG decision-making.
If you’ve been curious about the toolkit, or you just enjoy old-school, tactical CRPG combat… this is your chance to try it hands-on!
This WebGL build showcases a complete, self-contained combat scenario:
Grid-based movement with AP costs
Fully turn-based initiative order
Action Points & positioning strategy
Melee and ranged attacks
Line spells & area-of-effect abilities with live zone previews
Status effects and defensive options
Death handling, turn order UI, and party sidebar
3D environment with isometric camera
It is not a full game — the goal is to let you feel the flow, responsiveness, and tactical depth of the combat system.
The RPG Combat Toolkit (TBCS) is a professional, highly modular combat framework for Unity 6.
Think classic inspirations like the SSI Gold Box games, Fallout 1 & 2, or modern tactical CRPGs — but fully customizable and extensible for your own projects.
The toolkit includes:
A robust turn manager
A modular ability system
A flexible status & effect system
Health, AP, movement, initiative
A powerful NodeGraph-based formula system
Full 2D and 3D support
Clean integration with UI, stat systems, and more
This demo is the first public look at the combat slice.
If something feels unclear, too slow, too fast, awkward, confusing, or simply exciting — let me know!
I’m actively refining the toolkit and planning upcoming updates.
Comments on the itch page or direct messages are all welcome.
