Update: MORE accessibility options + 1 NEW commentary node

This is the 2nd post-launch update to "an unplayable game?!". I didn't make a post on the first one because it was super minor, I moved a rock and added a gamepad vibration toggle, BUT I'm planning on making posts for all updates going forward, no matter how minor.

Since "an unplayable game?!" launched, I've been striving to add a complete suite of accessibility options to make the game as playable (haha) as possible. So, today's update adds a few new accessibility options to address font readability and sound sensitivity, and also includes a brand new commentary node talking about my experiences with post-launch support!

  • added a new toggleable setting to mute the TV static in the main menu (located in main menu > settings)
  • added a new startup screen that introduces the TV static mute option (this will appear ONCE on startup if you haven't seen it before, right after the disclaimer)
  • added a new toggleable setting to use an alternate, more readable font (located in the main menu. it's Atkinson Hyperlegible, in case you were wondering)
  • reduced bloom intensity from 0.7 to 0.35 to help readability in the in-game in-game menu (I hope that makes sense)

and finally...

  • added one commentary node about post-launch support. you can find it next to the "accessible font" toggle in the main menu!

Thank you so much for playing "an unplayable game?!". This is certainly not the end of post-launch support, as I intend to add new accessibility features whenever an issue arises (so PLEASE make sure to contact me if you have any issues with playability), but I don't plan on adding any new commentary nodes. Never say never, though!
