The past few weeks my team has been working on many game features.
Emily has been implementing sound ambiance for the different levels of the game as well as adding sound effects to Mayhem jumping and various objects in the world. She also play-tested a push/pull mechanic for the game, that is being set aside for now.
Diane got the achievement tracker in game and ready to use so that we can begin blueprinting the game’s achievements. She also added some animals in game to play test this code.
Austin continued fine tuning the cat’s animations. He also has been detailing the forest area, the city exterior, and the police station in town. He also began implementing a skateboard which the cat can use in the skate park located in the city.
Rori added the NPC chase code to the game which makes it so the cat cafe’s employees can catch and relocate the player to start when caught.
Dharma began detailing the corner store, the apartments and the art gallery inside the city.
Mya created more Achievement Polaroids for the photo Album.
Rae has begun to set up the Photo Album which players will use to reference their tasks and achievements yet unlocked, this is also where the player can find instructions or hints on how to complete certain tasks. The main menu animation and atmosphere is also in final stages. Rae continued detailing the dog park, farmer’s market, movie theater and cat cafe helped manage and trouble shoot group tasks.
Overall we are nearing the final stages of cleaning up the mechanics and levels we have now and getting them ready for proper game play.
