Wow, wow, wow... loved it! Superb writing and story-telling. The plot/story is so engaging! I guessed, right off the bat (when certain information was casually revealed), what the secret to my identity was, but instead of feeling disappointed that I saw it coming, I was actually thrilled that's what it was, and that I'd guessed correctly. And I love the characters... they're all so interesting, with little bits of their backstory being expertly drip-fed to you, in a very organic and natural way. Chapters 1 and 2 were so good, but chapter 3... damn. It was intense! I felt emotionally drained at the end, and actually teared-up several times. Oh, and the art! So lovely. Not just the characters, but the backgrounds as well. Overall, a fabulous VN, and one I highly recommend! :) When is chapter 4 coming?! Ugh! :( *dies from anticipation*
Be very careful if you decide to download/install the windows version of this VN. After finishing my playthrough, I attempted to delete it (the extracted folder/files) from my computer... and couldn't (I was denied permission). After spending almost an hour, reading and following tutorials on how to take control of the folder/permissions (none of it worked), I finally had to download/install a file shredder to get rid of the fucking thing. I've never had this happen with a VN/game here at itch before, and needless to say, I'm very leery of this developer now. I have another one of their VNs on my wishlist (Love Rewind: A Magical Time Travel Romance) that looks good, but damn, do I feel extremely uneasy about installing it. Haven't decided yet if I should take the chance, or just pass on it... :(
Wonderful characters. An intriguing, well-written story. Lots of great humour. Sweet romance. And an interesting "choices" design, based on emotions. I wasn't too keen on the sprite artwork at first, but it quickly grew on me, and I ended up loving the character art/design, and thought they were all so cute and charming! I got a good ending on my first playthrough (with Braums), but also want to do another playthrough with Rafael! I highly recommend this one! But it saddens me that there's no "NYOP" option... I really wish I could donate some money to show my appreciation.
Beautiful artwork. An intriguing, well-written story. And wonderful characters. I loved everything about this VN! And the romance aspect was so lovely (Finn x Ezra on my first playthrough). Once the final chapter has been released I want to do more playthroughs and romance August, and also Alkar x Omen. I highly recommend this one! :)
I really enjoyed this one! Loved the art style... I thought it fit so well with the quirky characters/story. The story was well-written and wonderfully amusing, and a lot of the dialogue (and scenes) were downright hilarious... I chuckled and laughed through pretty much the entire game. And Dr. Frank was such a wonderful character! He made me laugh so much, and at other times I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Aww! *gives him a big hug* :P The only thing I found a bit frustrating at times was the puzzle aspect (puzzles just aren't my thing, apparently), but I eventually figured them out (with a lot of help from Iggs). :P Unfortunately, I didn't get the ending I had hoped for, so... off to give it another playthrough! :D
The modern language/slang felt very jarring in an historical setting, and there were some extremely odd/awkward sentences and word choices (I'm guessing English is not the developer/writer's native language). But the artwork is beautiful, and despite my gripes with the writing, I still found myself enjoying the story and characters. But I do recommend that you play the Demo first before buying, as the writing may be a deal-breaker for some...
This one is really good (so far)! The story is intriguing and well-written, and the characters are all so interesting. I'm not too keen on the background artwork (it's very sloppy/messy), but the sprite artwork and animations are just wonderful! I'm kinda regretting starting this one while it's still in development. I'm enjoying it so much, that waiting for new updates is going to be really miserable... :(
There were some major continuity issues in my first playthrough (with Razix), but despite that, I really enjoyed the story and setting. It's also well-written, the artwork is quite nice, and I liked the entire cast of characters. Once a new update comes out, I want to replay my route with Razix, and then try some of the other routes. :)
This one is really cute and humorous! I laughed and rolled my eyes (in a good way) through the whole thing. Nice artwork, great writing/dialogue, and fun, lovable characters. Ajax was my favourite... he was like a mentally deficient puppy dog (definitely a few tools missing from the toolbox - LOL!). It almost felt kind of... wrong to try and sex him up. But I did it anyway (Heh!) and couldn't help but, "Awww!" when I got a good ending with him on my second playthrough. :D
Beautiful artwork and likeable characters, but the story was a bit boring... as were the "choices" (every single one was just to pick who you spend the day with). There was also quite a bit of repetition, where I had to read the same scenes multiple times (in a single playthrough), like when Tomai dreams, and the conversations with his father. Overall, I felt this one was... okay. It was fairly short, so the boring story wasn't too much of an issue for me, and I just enjoyed it mainly for the art and characters.
The gorgeous promotional art and intriguing plot/setting prompted me to try this one, but it turned out to be very disappointing. The story is so slow and boring, and the artwork is wildly inconsistent (the sprites are really good, but the background art ranges from horrible to barely passable). But this game's biggest downfall is the writing. English is not the developer/writer's native language, and it shows... typos, wrong words, missing words, flipped words, bad grammar, awkward word choices and sentences, and very basic language use overall. It was so irritating and painful trying to read the story, and that, coupled with the boredom, made me give up (during the party scene at Helios' house). Unless this gets a proper English translation in the future, I really can't recommend it at all... :(
Gorgeous artwork and an intriguing, well-written story. However, once the protag arrives at the castle and starts working for the demons, the story just seemed to... evaporate. I found myself aimlessly wandering around the castle and exploring the map, hoping to get some scraps of story to keep me interested. But eventually I just got so bored, I had to throw in the towel on this one. Also, I really didn't appreciate how this was advertised as "play as the villain". *raises an eyebrow* I guess, technically, you're doing "villainous deeds"... but it's under duress/extortion, while you play along and try to find a way out of this bad situation. So, yeah... very misleading. This was my first "purchase" on itch, and I made the mistake of donating before playing. Won't ever be doing that again. :(
Immature/unrealistic dialogue, horrible voice acting (that made the cringey dialogue seem even worse - I ended up muting it), and an interesting story that was rendered utterly boring in the way it was delivered. The sex CGs were hot, but the written sex scenes were short and boring, with more unrealistic/corny dialogue. I also intensely disliked Raiden and Arata (if they were real people, I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire) and hated the fact that I had to play matchmaker for them... only for both of them to immediately go off and screw other people. (Seriously?!). My first playthrough was quite short, with a bad ending. My second playthrough was longer, and seemed to be on-course for a good ending, but I didn't even finish it... I was so friggin' bored and irritated. The only thing that saved this from a 1-star rating was the pretty artwork. I wish I could get my $19.99 back...
