A short informative puzzle game about capitalism, socialism, and making a better society. It features a small city, rife with the symptoms of late stage capitalism. You must find a way to fix polution, depression, consumerism, commodification, among other things. These things are related to deeper rooted issues caused by capitalistic idealogies, so you can't simply change it all in one go without adressing systemic issues. It showcases many values of socialism, and the problems with capitalism that it seeks to remedy. I'd reccomend it as a simple and short way to introduce socialism to those who don't understand much about it.
This has to be one of my favorite itch games. It's long, and includes a lot to do and explore. There is a bit of a saving issue on itch, so if you want to make it through the whole game, i would go to the offical site: https://planetlife.space/
There's afk resource collection, dungeon crawling, battle mechanics, characters, story, a little bit of a lot of things. It starts off somewhat slow, but once you get into it, it's really fun.
A somewhat small but still sizable afk game. Theres many plants, furniture, and a bathroom to unlock. The art/modeling is very pretty. If you enjoy very casual, hands off, or long term games, I'd recommend this. And if you're interested, the author also has a paid puzzle game, which you can pick up to support them.
A cute fishing game. The mechanics of it are fun to test and figure out. It's currently a wip, and after checking the programmer's twitter, it seems they've moved on to bigger and better projects. I doubt it will be finished. As long as you're okay with that, I would recommend this game for just chilling.
