Vulnerable and sincere. We need more men willing to open up like this in video game spaces.
I usually don't like visual novels but the story in this one is so well written and was recommended so highly that I just had to finish it. It also gave me the feels.
I only played this game this past year (2018) and knew going in all that happens. And even then there were surprises I didn't expect. Mainly the nuances of the story and the level design, both of which are excellent. While the house may seem a little artificial and the story is a bit melodramatic, it is honest and emotionally true and that's really what's important. The care and attention put into the world and characters shines in this modern classic.
